Coming Soon to Paramount: 2026 Development Projects

The City of Paramount is getting several new businesses, affordable housing and community spaces in 2026. Here’s what’s coming in your neighborhood:

What to Expect in 2026

Affordable Housing on Hunsaker Avenue

Two new affordable homes are coming to Hunsaker Avenue. The City is taking a hands-on approach by partnering with Habitat for Humanity to transform a blighted property. Construction on the duplex begins this spring with a wall-raising event. Habitat will share information about eligibility to purchase these homes soon.

New Retail and Dining at Paramount Square

Sprouts Market is expected to open in June at the newly formed Paramount Square, along with Panera Bread and Panda Express. Dutch Bros. Coffee is also anticipated. Five Below will replace the former Rite Aid on Alondra Boulevard in late 2026.

Hay Tree Public Market

The historic Western Consumers Feed Company building will be transformed into the Hay Tree Public Market with food stalls offering different cuisines, a city museum and indoor meeting spaces. The museum will showcase the first Zamboni machine, which was invented at what is now LA Kings Iceland at Paramount, highlighting a unique piece of the City’s history.

Entrada Housing Development

Approved by City Council in late 2025, the Entrada housing development at 16635-83 Paramount Boulevard will include 17 detached, two-story, all-electric single-family homes. Construction began in February 2026, and homes will range from 1,707 square feet to 1,860 square feet on compact lots. Three of these homes will also be made into affordable housing units thanks to a $2 million investment from the City. For more information about this project, visit ParamountEnvironment.org

2026 is set to bring many exciting developments in Paramount, and the City looks forward to welcoming the community to these new spaces.
